The Bung Fly may be fished all the year round and is best fished in water no more than ten foot deep and over mud or silt, using a floating line and a short leader. Fish this method using two or three buzzers and perhaps a pheasant tail and the bung on the point to hold the buzzers up. You will need at least three feet from the end of your fly line to your Bung. The leader will determine the depth of the fished buzzer or buzzers. Cast out and let everything settle. Watch the Bung or sight Bob for any movement. Keep an eye on its movement. Not every fish that takes your fly will pull it under. Some fish will cruise just under the surface trailing the Bung along with them.
