DEER HAIR DRIFTER
These patterns can be retrieved like a wet fly or greased to float as a dry fly. So from the variations available to the angler you can see that this pattern imitates a variety of food that makes up a Trout’s diet. Basically the pattern is a sedge/chironomid emerger pattern and is meant as a variant of Sedge imitations.
DIAWL BACH
Translated form the Welsh as “Little Devil” this pattern originated as a river fly, but has now become popular as a still water pattern and is fished widely with enormous success.
SLICK DRIFTER
This pattern imitates a buzzer pattern and needs to be fished high. The fly can be fished as a conventional wet fly or buzzer or on a long leader and then left to drift.
SNATCHER
This Pattern came form Scotland and really is a mix of the palmer and the buzzer.
It can be fished in different ways. For instance as one of a team of three on slow sinking line or as a buzzer on the top dropper with two other nymphs or as a washing line (Please see our washing line selection) with a booby and a pheasant tail or the Diawl Bach would work well.
