Egg Flies are amongst the most popular patterns for Rainbow Trout, Brown and Brook Trout, Arctic Char, Dolly Varden, Steelhead and Salmon - not surprisingly, as eggs are a great source of energy for fish. These eggs will catch fish consistently in rivers, lakes and streams throughout the world. Fish on a "dead-drift" and let the egg fly run along the bed, where it will imitate the natural egg. Fish unweighted in calmer waters - it can be great fun watching the fly. In heavier waters the fly requires some weight adding to the line.
